Jim Mawn Named Heading Home's 2019 Corporate Partner of the Year

Northern Bank has an honorable legacy of community service throughout Middlesex County. Our dedication to supporting financial literacy for children, raising awareness to end hunger, assisting the community with housing needs, and providing service for children, low income, and seniors in our community have not only allowed us to make a significant difference, but they have also helped us stand out as a leader in Charitable Giving.

On Tuesday December 10th, Jim Mawn, President and CEO of Northern Bank, was honored as Heading Home’s Corporate Partner of the Year. Once Jim was first introduced to Heading Home, he never looked back. He is now on the Board of Directors at Heading Home and, along with Northern Bank employees, he continues to participate in several “Up and Out Moves” a year.

Northern Bank collects household items year-round at their Woburn headquarters. When an Up and Out opportunity comes around, Jim and Bank employees take the donated items and furnish a forever home for a deserving family.

“Jim is a true Changemaker in every sense of the word.  His quiet drive and passionate commitment to Heading Home’s mission is evident in both how he participates with us individually but also in his role as leader of Northern Bank”, says Danielle Ferrier, CEO of Heading Home. “Team Northern is an authentic partner, inspired to “do the right thing” always, with a healthy impatience for accepting the status quo, and robust willingness to explore creative solutions. We celebrate Jim and Northern Bank as our Corporate Partner of the year; an honor so well deserved for all that you do to help our clients move up and out of homelessness!”

Aside from participating in Up and Out moves, Northern Bank partners with Sony Michel, and during the 2019-2020 season, $50,000 was raised to donate to Heading Home - $1,000 for every touchdown New England scored. “If you can provide a hand – Provide a hand up,” Jim says, “Help people climb the ladder”.

Congratulations, Jim Mawn, on being named Heading Home’s Corporate Partner of the Year.
