When Jon Erickson started his plumbing business, he wanted to find a bank that could relate to his small business challenges.

Jon Erickson, of J. Erickson Plumbing and Heating LLC, has always been ambitious, so after years of working for someone else, he got his Master Plumbing license and decided to go out on his own. He hasn’t regretted it a bit.

“When I started my business, my previous bank was big and there was no personal relationship,” Jon explained. “There were long wait times to speak to someone and the local branch never got back to me in a timely manner. “At this point, I have my business accounts with Northern Bank and use their mobile banking app, which is super convenient for me since I’m out in the field all day and can’t always get into a branch,” Jon said.

“I work on my own currently, but long term, I’d like to hire a team of 2-3 service people as I grow my business, and to do that, I’d need to purchase another truck and new tools. I will definitely be talking to Northern Bank at some point about a small business loan to help me achieve my growth plans.”
